Protein Dose Response - New Insights
Have you heard the tale that there is a limit to the amount of protein that your body can handle for muscle protein synthesis? It’s a good one! The new study from Luc van Loon's lab gave a one-off dose of 0, 35 or 100g protein and measured the response over 12 hrs (most studies only go out to 4 hrs). They showed that the dose-response isn't what we thought it was.
